About the event

Psychedelic Professionals Meetup Groups are in Boulder, Denver, and Fort Collins! Let's keep Colorado on the leading edge of psychedelic medicine work by coming together in community to learn, share, and grow. Each Psychedelic Professionals Meetup Group starts with an informative topic relevant to research, practice, policy, or activism around psychedelic medicines, followed by open discussion and an opportunity to connect with like-minded others.

We are excited to try out a NEW LOCATION and NEW NIGHT in Boulder for our last meetup of 2022 and moving into 2023 (the third Thursday of each month at 8pm), we hope you will join us!  To close out 2022 and welcome the  post-Prop 122 era we have the opportunity to co-create, we want to talk about "the magic of mushrooms" with a couple of our most beloved community members, Dori Lewis, LPC and Travis Fluck. In this informal dialogue, Travis and Dori will reflect on "the magic" of mushrooms and how we might keep its magic alive in a post-Prop 122 era. They'll share pieces of their own personal journeys with mushrooms and offer reflections on what is essential for us, individually and collectively, to be, do, and hold in order to keep the spirit of this medicine alive. They will also offer advice for folks wanting to get into this work as a space holder, facilitator, guide, or psychedelic therapist.

Travis Tyler Fluck, a casualty of the drug war, his life has been peppered with traumatic arrests and periods of incarceration.  Fortunately, over the years, Travis has gained the tools and the platform to influence systemic change and work towards a ceasefire to the drug war.  As leadership for the Denver Psilocybin Initiative, co-founder of the Denver Mushroom Cooperative, educator, death doula, cultivator, and empathetic witness Travis serves his communities as a steward and community facilitator.  The Medicine Path has afforded Travis resolution to existential dilemmas as well as the means to help others heal and tap into true potential.  He looks forward to offering his insight and experience to better the world we live in.

Dori Lewis, LPC owns and operates Reflective Healing (RH) in Fort Collins, CO, a psychotherapy group practice that specializes in psychedelic therapy using ketamine, integration therapy and transpersonal psychotherapy.  Dori also creates and teaches psychedelic facilitator trainings and provides supervision and mentorship to other providers interested in psychedelic work. She publicly speaks on topics such as ethics, access and power in psychedelic spaces, diversity, equity and inclusion in the psychedelic psychotherapy space and cultural appropriation as it relates to ritual and ceremony. In her personal life, Dori has been using psychedelics for spiritual and existential exploration for nearly two decades. She has been exposed to both the light and dark of the psychic landscape and has sat with teacher plants in traditional medicine spaces, medicinal substances in therapeutic spaces, and recreational drugs in social spaces.

Suggested donation of $10, payable at the door. Door fee goes directly toward paying for the venue rental.
