About the event

Psychedelic Professionals Meetup Groups are happening!  Let's keep Colorado on the leading edge of psychedelic medicine work by coming together in community to learn, share, and grow. Each Psychedelic Professionals Meetup Group starts with an informative topic relevant to research, practice, policy, or activism around psychedelic medicines, followed by open discussion and an opportunity to connect with like-minded others.

In November in Denver, we are excited to welcome the Chair of the Nowak Society Board of Directors, Dylan Rivard, to explore: The Future of Psychedelics: Reconciling Clinical and Spiritual Perspectives

As psychedelic assisted therapy becomes more mainstream and legalization becomes increasingly likely, diverse communities have growing concerns about how psychedelic therapy will be implemented. On one hand we have indigenous perspectives and spiritual contexts that have shaped Psychedelic work for thousands of years, and on the other we have the current scientific clinical model which is the basis of our modern psychological understanding.

Join Dylan as he speaks to what each of these models bring, where they contradict each other, where they complement each other, and what challenges these perspectives pose for the future of Psychedelics.

If you have ideas for topics or presentations for these meetup groups or would like to be more involved, please contact us! Please support the Mercury Cafe by purchasing food or drink during our event.
