About the event
Psychedelic Professionals Meetup Groups are now happening in Boulder and Denver! Let's keep Colorado on the leading edge of psychedelic medicine work by coming together in community to learn, share, and grow. Each Psychedelic Professionals Meetup Group starts with an informative topic relevant to research, practice, policy, or activism around psychedelic medicines, followed by open discussion and an opportunity to connect with like-minded others.
Our community is based on the values of open-source/open-access knowledge, authentic empowerment, right relationship with medicines and drugs, and showing up for the people and causes important to our lives.
For our October gathering, we are very excited to welcome Dr. Dan Engle speaking on the topic of ibogaine. Iboga is considered by many to be the Everest of psychedelic medicines. It is the most effective treatment for addiction currently known on the planet. And in this conversation we will share information on its history, current usage and potential future for medicine and humanity.
Dr. Dan Engle has a clinical practice that combines aspects of regenerative medicine, orthomolecular psychiatry, integrative
spirituality and peak performance methods. He received his medical degree from the University of Texas in San Antonio, his psychiatry residency degree from the University of Colorado in Denver and his Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship degree from Oregon Health and Sciences University. Currently, he is Medical Director of Revive Treatment Centers of America in Denver, CO and Onnit Labs in Austin, TX and several international healing centers using indigenous plant medicines of the Peruvian Amazon River basin. His programs include Freedom From Meds, a comprehensive and integrative tool kit for successful transition from psychiatric medications; the Concussion Repair Manual, facilitating the return to optimal function after concussion and traumatic brain injury; BOLD – Brain Optimization and Lifestyle Design – a strategic coaching program for maximizing brain health and cognitive performance; and Full Spectrum Medicine, a research, education and advocacy platform pioneering the future psychiatric healing centers using consciousness expansion tools for root-cause healing and total life transformation.
