About the event

Psychedelic Professionals Meetup Groups are in Boulder, Denver, and Fort Collins! Let's keep Colorado on the leading edge of psychedelic medicine work by coming together in community to learn, share, and grow. Each Psychedelic Professionals Meetup Group starts with an informative topic relevant to research, practice, policy, or activism around psychedelic medicines, followed by open discussion and an opportunity to connect with like-minded others.

For our March 2020 gathering, we are excited to welcome psychiatrist, Dr. Craig Heacock, as he shares: "Ketamine— What could possibly go wrong? Lessons from 500 sessions." We know that ketamine can be an extremely powerful tool to treat depression and PTSD, but what are all the ways that ketamine sessions can go bad? Craig Heacock shares his experience of the both the expected and highly unexpected things that can head south when working with this medicine.  Craig Heacock MD is an adolescent/adult psychiatrist in Fort Collins and has worked extensively with IM and IV ketamine for the last 3 years. He is a co-therapist in the MAPS Phase 3 MDMA study and also produces a psychiatric podcast called “Back from the Abyss”. You can learn more about his private practice at: craigheacockmd.com

The FORT COLLINS group will meet on the second Tuesday of each month, 6pm.

$5 to attend, payable at the door. Door fee goes toward paying for the venue rental.
