About the event

Psychedelic Professionals Meetup Groups are happening now in the Pikes Peak Region!  Let's keep Colorado on the leading edge of psychedelic medicine work by coming together in community to learn, share, and grow. Each Psychedelic Professionals Meetup Group starts with an informative topic relevant to research, practice, policy, or activism around psychedelic medicines, followed by open discussion and an opportunity to connect with like-minded others.

For our January 2023 meetup in the Springs, we are excited to welcome former Navy seal Commander Jon Macaskill. Jon Macaskill is a retired Navy SEAL Commander turned leadership and mindfulness coach. During his 24-year Navy career, he served in multiple highly dynamic leadership positions from the battlefield to the operations center and the board room. His style of teaching leadership is unconventional yet highly effective. He is passionate about helping people and organizations become the best versions of themselves through mindfulness coaching, keynote speaking, and grit and resilience training.

Check out this podcast on Commander Macaskill's psychedelic journey with mushrooms. For his Nowak Society talk, Commander Macaskill will talk about his experience with psychedelics, how it intersects with mindfulness training, and the risks to weigh when considering psychedelics as a tool. We can't wait to see you there!

Professionals and interested community members alike are welcome to attend the meetup. The meetup is free, but donations are very appreciated and all go toward supporting the non-profit mission of The Nowak Society. Please be sure to follow all community guidelines at meetup events, including no soliciting for illegal substances or services. Let's keep all of us safe, please!

Please do also RSVP for this meetup so we can have a decent idea in advance of how many will be attending. We appreciate your support!

If you have ideas for topics or presentations for these meetup groups or would like to be more involved, please contact us.
