About the event
Psychedelic Professionals Meetup Groups are in Boulder, Denver, and Fort Collins! Let's keep Colorado on the leading edge of psychedelic medicine work by coming together in community to learn, share, and grow. Each Psychedelic Professionals Meetup Group starts with an informative topic relevant to research, practice, policy, or activism around psychedelic medicines, followed by open discussion and an opportunity to connect with like-minded others.
For our May 14th gathering, we are excited to welcome Craig Salerno speaking on: Navigating Psychedelics and the Realm of Addiction. There is perhaps no topic more sensitive in the psychedelic medicine community than the question of what medicine work means for people who identify as addicts or individuals in recovery from substance abuse. Because many models for healing from substance abuse and addiction rely on the importance of abstinence, often from all substance use, the question of whether psychedelics fit into an addiction recovery model is an important one. Come engage in a dialogue about addiction, psychedelics, and the complexities that arise when these worlds meet.

We plan to host an in-person event at the Mercury Cafe at our next meetup on June 4th, so stay tuned!
