About the event
Psychedelic Professionals Meetup Groups are happening! Let's keep Colorado on the leading edge of psychedelic medicine work by coming together in community to learn, share, and grow. Each Psychedelic Professionals Meetup Group starts with an informative topic relevant to research, practice, policy, or activism around psychedelic medicines, followed by open discussion and an opportunity to connect with like-minded others.
Learn, share, network, and connect with the Denver community of psychedelic professionals and interested community members who are leading the way forward in transforming our relationships with drugs and medicines.
For our March gathering in Denver, we are excited to welcome friend and therapist, Dori Lewis, to explore shadow work and power in psychedelic spaces. Dori will lead us in examining our own capacity to do harm in psychedelic spaces and the personal work necessary to avoid traps of the ego that can cause harm. How do we hold safe spaces for people to develop their own relationship with psychedelic medicine? How do we recognize and counteract the needs of our own egos as therapists, guides or sitters as we hold space for psychedelic journeys?
Dori Lewis, MA is a licensed professional counselor who specializes in holding psychedelic space, feminist based sex therapy and transpersonal counseling. Dori aims to create safe, conscious spaces for others to access their whole self to support healing from a place of sovereignty. She is trained in ketamine-assisted psychotherapy and offers KAP out of her Fort Collins-based practice.
