Seeking Services and Resources

The legal and cultural landscape for psychedelics and psychedelic-assisted healing is rapidly changing, especially in Colorado. We do our best to keep our community up to date on the latest policy and what it means for access to natural medicines in different settings.

Options Available in Colorado

Colorado is in the process of rolling out the first licenses for the use of natural medicines administered by licensed professionals–we're keeping our community updated as those changes move forward.

If you are looking for safe, legal access to psychedelic therapy (such as MDMA for PTSD), your best start might be to search for clinical trials or an expanded access site in your area. Mountain View Clinical Research in Denver runs clinical trials for LSD and possibly other psychedelic medicines that you might qualify for. Psychedelic Passage is a directory site where you can search pre-vetted facilitators who offer psychedelic therapy or guide work.

You might also decide to explore other legal options, such as ketamine-assisted therapy or cannabis-assisted therapy. There are a growing number of centers or clinics that offer various medicine-assisted treatments in Colorado.

Options Available Abroad

You might also find international retreat centers offering medicine work, such as with psilocybin mushrooms, in places where these medicines are not illegal.

The website psychedelic.support can help you find providers near you, and you can search for retreats both locally and abroad on HealingMaps.com.

Other Education & Advocacy Opportunities

If you're seeking information about the laws, licensing process, or training programs for providers approved by the state of Colorado, the Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies (DORA) web page for Natural Medicine resources is your best bet.

For other education and advocacy opportunities, visit your local Psychedelic Club. Some clubs also offer peer support integration groups.

You might also want to check out the Denver Mushroom Cooperative for education and access related to psilocybin mushrooms. Or visit an online peer integration group with Altered States Integration. For parents, check out Plant Parenthood, offering online opportunities to connect with other parents who use plant medicines and psychedelics.
